The Andrus Center for Public Policy at Boise State University is convening this one-day event to support current discussions with leaders and groups from Oregon, Washington, Montana and Idaho regarding a long-term plan to address energy, salmon, water, agriculture, and community needs.

The Center for Environmental Policy at American University in Washington, DC presents the 7th Annual William K. Reilly Awards to celebrate honorees Linda Fisher and Kevin Fay. Phil Sharp, national energy and climate change leader, will deliver the keynote address.

This three-day event in Madison, WI, will focus on established and emerging issues related to practical climate adaptation solutions. It's known as a great resource for finding story ideas and meeting scientists, agency staff, citizens and more. On Tuesday, April 23, Concurrent Session 3, "Overcoming Flood Amnesia: How Two Cities and Two States Are Becoming Resilient," is organized by SEJ member Penny Loeb.

This free webinar, starting at 9:00 a.m. EST, is planned around the launch of the Arcus Foundation’s report, State of the Apes: Infrastructure Development and Ape Conservation. World Bank and conservationist experts will discuss prevention and mitigation of infrastructure-related harm to local communities, biodiversity and critical habitats. Can't make it? This annual event in San Diego provides an opportunity for an international audience to learn about the achievements of the current Kyoto Prize Laureates and to discuss the relationship between their accomplishments and the common quest for peace and harmony in our world. The lectures are open to the public at no charge. Journalists can apply by Feb 28, 2019 for a Kyoto Prize Journalism Fellowship to learn about the latest Kyoto Prize laureates and their work through lectures, workshops and access to the laureates themselves.
