Recognizing the global importance of forests the United Nations declared 2011 as the International Year of Forests to raise awareness on conservation, multiple use and sustainable development of all types of forests.

On-site discussion on participatory forest management and ecosystem services in the Bosland Forest, the largest multipurpose forest landscape of Flanders (6000 ha) includes free conference dinner.

Conference participation including dinner is free, but registration is mandatory.
