MY-RTK Lets Users Probe Toxic Emissions from Their Smartphones

November 3, 2010

Go ahead. Grab your iPhone and cruise around the corridor known as "Cancer Alley" southeast of Baton Rouge, La., and see the refineries and chemical plants — with the Toxics Release Inventory in your hand.

myRTK lets you thumb in an address or ZIP code and get back a map or list of facilities on your feature phone or smart phone.

EPA has also updated other TRI tools — including updated versions of longstanding ones. They include many listed here.
