The East-West Center in Honolulu is accepting applications until Jun 17 for the 2019 China-United States Journalists Exchange: Aug 31-Sep 13 to visit Beijing, Hangzhou and Hong Kong (for US journalists) and Sep 8-14, to visit Des Moines, Iowa and Washington, DC (for Chinese journalists).

The Award is given by the New York Public Library to the author(s) of outstanding, full-length books resulting from print, broadcast, or electronic journalism that impacts public consciousness and policy around an important current issue. Winner receives a $15,000 prize. Nomination deadline is Sep 1, 2023.

The Alicia Patterson Foundation awards fellowship grants of $40,000 for 12 months and $20,000 for six months (including at least one for science or environmental topics) to working journalists to pursue independent projects of significant interest and to write articles based on their investigations for The APF Reporter. The International Center for Journalists is accepting applications until August 10th from U.S. journalists under 30 years of age to take part in the first round, Nov 26-Dec 20, 2012, of the Young Media Professionals Exchange Program, a two-year initiative between the United States and Russia, funded by the John S. and James L. Knight Foundation.
