Webinar: Full Circle Future's Waste Impact Tracker

Full Circle Future is hosting an informational webinar about their new 50-state Waste Impact Tracker that allows users to get the latest data and resources related to pollution from more than 2,600 landfills across the U.S.

Often hidden and separated across multiple resources, this tracker seeks to democratize landfill methane data by centralizing:

• The latest insights from the EPA's Greenhouse Gas Reporting Program,
• Satellite data from Carbon Mapper that has picked up methane plumes, over landfills,
• Further context around what landfills have gas collection systems, and
• The demographic makeup of nearby communities, including prevalence of health conditions such as cancer rates and cardiovascular issues.
• The tracker also puts in context the impact of how much food waste ends up in landfills that could have been redirected toward programs to alleviate hunger.

At the webinar, listeners will be able to hear directly from Full Circle Future researchers about their data and methodology as well as local environmental justice advocates who are working to scale up food diversion programs and alleviate pollution from landfills in their community.
