Cognit.ca With Mike Matheson

Need an expert on a topic while facing a looming deadline?

Cognit.ca is a new free tool that allows you to quickly access research expertise, facilities and IP (intellectual property) at post-secondary institutions across Canada. The application provides users with a single interface for searching over two hundred thousand federally-funded research projects, tens of thousands of pieces of IP and hundreds of major facilities across Canada.  

In this webinar, 1:00-2:00 p.m. ET, U15's Director of Data Analysis and Policy Mike Matheson will provide an overview of the project, a full demonstration of the system, and outline future development plans. The session will conclude with time for questions and answers.

The U15 | Group of Canadian Research Universities is an association of 15 Canadian public research universities headquartered in Ottawa, Ontario.

This session is intended to help you capitalize on this time-saving tool by giving you a detailed understanding of the system. During the session, Mike Matheson will provide an overview of the project, a full demonstration of the system, and outline future development plans. It will conclude with a question period.

By the end of the session you will:

  • Understand how Cognit.ca can fit into your work
  • Know how to use all of the functionality of Cognit.ca
  • Be able to interpret the results and data displayed when using Cognit.ca
