Meet SEJ member Martha Pskowski! Martha got her start in journalism as a freelancer in Mexico, reporting environmental and immigration stories. She earned her master's degree in Journalism and Latin American Studies at New York University. At the El Paso Times, Martha is an environmental watchdog reporter covering environmental justice in the borderland — from air pollution to sewage overflows to rising temperatures. She loves working for a local news outlet and covering stories in both the U.S. and Mexico. Martha is also a member of Investigative Reporters and Editors (IRE).

When asked how SEJ has made her job easier, Martha said, "SEJ's job board helped me find my current job. I attended my first SEJ conference in Houston and came away more committed to my work and with a new list of colleagues to reach out to for support. Working in a small newsroom as our sole environmental reporter, it is reassuring to know all the resources of SEJ are at my disposal to help." Join her in the SEJ community today!
