4th World Media Lab Application Open for 2023 Fellowship
The 4th World Indigenous Media Lab is a year-long fellowship for emerging and mid-career Indigenous filmmakers, offering artist development workshops, training and networking at the Big Sky Documentary Film Festival, Seattle International Film Festival and the Camden International Film Festival in partnership with Nia Tero.
Fellowship activities take place February through September 2023 at three film festivals:
- Big Sky Documentary Film Festival - February 2023 (Missoula MT)
- Seattle International Film Festival - May 2023 (Seattle WA)
- Camden International Film Festival - September 2023 (Camden ME)
The program is open to Indigenous peoples residing in North America including Native American, Alaska Native, Kanaka Maoli, First Nations, Métis and Inuit of Canada, and those of Indigenous heritage from south of the US border and of Pasifika heritage living in North America. Finalists will receive a $10,000 artist development grant from the Nia Tero Foundation and all expenses paid for travel and participation at each festival.
